Rooftop Cargo Carrier

Used for a weekend trip. Worked as advertised. Roof bars were delayed so I reluctantly used the door hooks. Had no issues over a 4 hour trip.  Will use again with roof bars. Would probably be most effective in a roof rack.  Was a larger hit to EV range than expected. 300 mile range decreased to 240.

I simply have not had the occasion to use this yet. But, rather than keep this review waiting, I'll let you know what I know about it. I will update when I get the chance.It is cleverly, strategically, and compactly folded into a well-made, sturdy case of similar material to the carrier itself. It comes with detailed, well-illustrated, and labeled instructions that are clear and written in perfect English. The carrier is of superior quality (presumed from opening it up, but not truly known from experience/use) with everything one might need to attach it to your car no matter the circumstance (whether your car has bars, rails, or none at all). I have seen many similar such bags in use by others and I have noted a few things. One: they tend to work best when mounted within one of those rectangular metal box cargo cages some people have on their roofs. Two: they tend to work best when fully packed, even if only with filler (lightweight bulk); otherwise, I have noted that they can flap in strong winds. Three: They come with locks and thus are secure from anyone not intent on stealing your belongings. To be clear, it is thus as safe as a roof rack made of material can be. But, if you are concerned, the pack would be almost effortlessly removed from the roof (e.g., when staying at a hotel) and placed in the relatively safety of the trunk and then replaced/repacked the following morning. No problems.This is a significant, sturdy, well-crafted, well-constructed product that, if it fits your needs, seems to me to be a solid, wonderful choice.All told, if a flexible, easy-on/off roof carrier is what you want, this is a fine product that I believe will last a long while if well used and removed from the sun and weather when not in active use.

This Rooftop Cargo Carrier is stunning. First, it's huge. I could easily fit inside with room to spare (don't ever do that). It's lined with a thick waterproof barrier, including the zipper, along with a strong velcro closure to further protect against any potential leaks. It comes with everything you need to mount it to your car securely. It even has a storage case that, through some miraculous form of origami, fits the entire roof rack. The company fully supports their product and reached out to me with information and support before the Carrier even arrived. If you're in the market for a cargo carrier, you won't regret purchasing from Venture 4th.

This worked great for our trip from Oklahoma to Colorado and back. The only thing we noticed wrong when we got back was one of the straps and started to fray. It held tight, wasn’t loud, and kept our stuff dry.

Relocated across country. This cargo carrier held up nicely with all of my clothes and bedding in it. Because of some reviews about straps not holding, I did use an extra separate tie down to secure it better to my car and it did great! I like that it had a combination lock and i bought bicycle alarms and tucked them in the flaps on the sides each night for added security while i was sleeping in the hotels. And with a little work, it went back in its bag nicely afterward. I would recommend.
